Father Lawrence Joseph Schroedel

On this episode we will be discussing how to experience and intimate prayer life.  Father Lawrence will discuss how to start a intimate prayer life and the benefits of it.  We will also discuss the challenges in creating an intimate prayer life and what should we do if we are distracted in prayer or feel like nothing is happening. We will learn how we can better communicate with God and what are the signs of growing in intimacy in prayer with God.

Fr. Lawrence Joseph Schroedel, CFR entered the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (S. Bronx, NY) in September 1998 after graduating from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology in 1988 working one year in Business Brokering and .5 years in corporate chemical sales.  He attended St. Joseph Seminary (in Yonkers, NY) and was ordained at St. Patrick Cathedral in New York City ion May 12, 2007.  He has served in the Hispanic Catholic Community Center, a homeless shelter, youth ministry and as a Catholic chaplain for Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry NY. Fr. Lawrence is currently living in Limerick, Ireland in a housing estate called Meyross.  He is no mostly involved in Inner Healing ministry.

 

The Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal began in April 1987 with eight men.  Currently there are approximately 130 men in the order.  The Friar’s life is both active and contemplative.  The live and work with the poor.  They are also heavily involved in evangelization giving retreats to all age groups and providing preachers for parish missions and other preaching request.
